Lucknow, July 12 (KNN) More and more MSMEs are keen to explore about usage of Information Technology & Mobile Devices for Business. However, the sector acknowledges that said that though India has large resource of IT professionals yet the penetration of IT applications is very low compared to World’s standards.

A programme on “Use of Information Technology & Mobile Devices for Business” organized by MSME Development Center (IMDC) of Indian Industries Association (IIA) on Sunday.

The programme was found to be highly proficient and handy method of doing and expanding business by the Entrepreneurs of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises who attended the programme from all over Uttar Pradesh.

Manish Goel, President, IIA deliberated on the importance of having knowledge about the use of Information Technology and mobile devices for business in the present time.

He said that it is the need of the hour to be updated with the latest technology in order to survive the cut throat competition of today.

Dr Sanjay Medhavi Head Department of Business Administration Lucknow University, spoke on the topic- “Role of Information Technology in business success”.

According to Medhavi, business relations need to be digitally mediated in order to apply information technology in the organisation. Digitally active organisations offer greater flexibility in organisation and management.

The core business processes needs to be digitally enabled in order to shift towards Information technology. The cost of Information Technology has become quite affordable today for MSMEs, he added.

It is required for the MSME enterprises that skilled manpower is employed for operation of that IT. However, Medhavi said that though India has large resource of IT professionals yet the penetration of IT applications is very low compared to World’s standards.

Dr Syed Haider Ali Prof and Head Department of Business Administration Khwaja Moinuddinchishti Urdu Arbi-Farsi University Lucknow explained the positive and negative aspects of usage of Mobile.

Various features for eg: Video calling, communication via use of email increases efficiency of any business as compared to the uses of traditional methods. Mobile Data protection feature for securing data on storage systems was also discussed by him. Mobile apps are necessary so as to retain customers and build a brand image.

Nrayan Shukla Founder & CEO of Singapore based mobile application development company Singsys had an Interactive session on Online Shopping, Digital Marketing and Social Networking and a session on Digital Communication and Computing. The basics of digital communication and cloud computing alongwith Cloud Security were explained by him. Other than this, the basics of online shopping, digital marketing and social networking were the other topics that were discussed by him. Various other queries raised by the participants related to mobile applications were also resolved by him.

Manmohan Agarwal, Secretary-IIA said, “Such programmes help entrepreneurs like us to increase the efficiency of the business. More such need based programmes will be held in the near future for the benefit and promotion of MSMEs”

Manish Goel, President-IIA in his concluding remarks said adoption of IT where on one hand reduce the amount of paper work, and on the other hand also reduce the time taken for completion of work as a result of which the efficiency of a business is increased. (KNN Bureau)
