MSMEs being served show cause notice for violations while Corporation is at fault: TANSTIA

New Delhi, Oct 26 (KNN) With the Corporation inspectors issuing show cause notices to the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Coimbatore region of Tamil Nadu, charging them for the improper water management, the MSMEs complain that this issuing of notice is another form of harassment by the corporation and shifting of responsibility.
Talking to KNN, C.K Mohan, General Secretary of the Tamil Nadu Small and Tiny Industries Association (TANSTIA) explained the situation.
Mohan informed that the units in the different clusters belonging to different sectors are being hit with show cause notices holding the units responsible for the rising dengue in the region.
Also the MSMEs are being said to be responsible for the problem of water management in the city, this is a strategy being adopted to pass on the responsibility.
Mohan further said that while the state officials and the Corporation is not able to manage the water in a proper manner and also there is no hold on the rising pollution crisis in the state, they simple want to put it on to the shoulders of the MSMEs of the region and shy away from their own responsibilities.
“Not just the industrial units but even the residential areas are being issues such notices, how is it a fault of ours if the Corporation is failing in their responsibilities” said Mohan.
TANSTIA is taking the matter up with the political sphere in order to address the baseless allegation that is being put on to the MSMEs, Mohan informed.
Earlier news reports surfaced quoting different industries complaining show cause notices being slapped. Also many industries complained penalty levied on the units regarding the same. (KNN/DA)
