MSMEs have their own challenges, issues; Telangana Govt should come up with dedicated MSME policy: TJAC Chief

Hyderabad, Feb 27 (KNN) Keeping in view that the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) sector has its own challenged and issues, the Telangana Government should come up with a dedicated MSME policy, demanded Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) chairman M Kodandaram.
He was addressing a conference held by All India Forum for Small and Medium Enterprises (AIFSME) on problems being faced by MSMEs in the state.
“The existing industrial policy is common for both MSMEs and largescale industries. As MSMEs have its own challenges and issues, the government should devise a dedicated policy to address the problems of MSMEs and aid for their development in Telangana,” Kodandaram said.
He said the government is giving a red carpet welcome for MNCs and big corporates, while MSMEs, which are run by local entrepreneurs, are being neglected.
He said if the MSMEs are not supported in the state, the state’s exchequer will be impacted and it would also lead to unemployment.
