Tamil Nadu Govt to organize mini-Global Investors Meet for MSMEs

Coimbatore, June 3 (KNN) Tamil Nadu Government is planning to organize a mini Global Investors Meet for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the state.
The announcement was made by Mangat Ram Sharma, Principal Secretary, MSME Department during the inaugural of INTEC 2017, an industrial fair organised by CODISSIA.
He informed that as the State Government has increased the budget for MSMEs this year by 60 %, several new schemes are available for these units.
Sharma said that Rs 10 crore will be given for organising international events such as INTEC. Further Rs 10 crore will be disbursed as export incentives.
There are plans for trade facility centres in the three cities for MSMEs at a cost of Rs 15 crore. Under the scheme to organise international events, there are plans to organise a mini GIM for MSMEs.
The Government is also allocating Rs 20 crore for cluster development and Rs 22 crore for three coir clusters - Negamam, Tirupur, and Thanjavur, he said.
