Uttarakhand Cabinet gives approval to MSME policy

New Delhi, June 14 (KNN) The Uttarakhand cabinet has recently given its approval to dedicated Micro Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) policy with a view to give push to industrialization in the hilly areas of the state.
The decision comes after the cabinet gave approval for bringing Wellness and Ayurveda Centers under ‘mega industry investment policy’ to benefit investors.
Cabinet Minister Madan Kaushik said, “The idea is to give a big push to industries in the state. Several incentives will be given to the investors under the policy.”
Industry bodies have been lobbying with the government to come up with the MSME policy.
The Policy gives industry status to several activities like rafting, camping, surfing, panchakarma, joyriding etc. This means that the owners and investors will be entitled to benefits under the MSME policy.
Talking about the policy, Cabinet Minister said that the idea is to create more jobs by collating and bringing several activities under the policy.
This will help locals as well as investors in a big way, he added.
