ZED Certification training program underway at district Industries office in Ludhiana

New Delhi, Apr 9 (KNN) With a view create awareness on Zed and make MSME sector more competitive, Union Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium enterprises (MSMEs) has started three day training program for the officials on Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) certification scheme at district industries office on Monday.

ZED certification scheme aim is to enhance global competitiveness of MSMEs by providing them financial support in assessment, rating and handholding of its manufacturing processes.

Further to make them aware about the ZED maturity model, manufacturing, benefits and certification among other things.

The District industries centre official said that the MSME s plays an important role in economic growth and equitable development.

He said that the MSMEs generate highest employment and constitute 90% of the total enterprises in most of the economies, with major share in industrial production and exports.

Dr Ramanand Shukla, Avik Mitra and Harsimran Kaur from Quality Council of India, New Delhi, addressed the session.
