Skill development-entrepreneurship to lead the country, government committed to handholding: Dharmendra Pradhan

In a bid to encourage entrepreneurship in the country, the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan emphasized that the need for a better ecosystem for the same and the government is committed in facilitating it for the entrepreneurs.

The Minister made the following remarks on the sidelines of the National Entrepreneurship Awards ceremony in the national capital.

The Minister further said that India has become an emerging market for global investors and entrepreneurship can majorly contribute to the country’s economy.

“Skill development and entrepreneurship form the basis for the growth of any country. Our endeavour is to empower our youth and equip them with the right skill sets and create a conducive environment to help them build sustainable business solutions/model. In the years to come, entrepreneurship will be the key to attain a double-digit GDP” the Minister added.

Minister of State MSDE Anantkumar Hegde, who was also present during the event said that small and micro level enterprises and businesses including weavers and potters are to set the trend of the country’s economy in days to come.  The Minister also mentioned about the various programs launched by the government to encourage entrepreneurship in the country.

Also Finance Minister Arun Jaitley highlighted the importance of up scaling skills in order to ensure economic growth during his address at the event. (With PIB Inputs) (KNN/DA)
