New Delhi, Aug 17 (KNN) With the different procedures beginning under the Goods and Services Tax (GST), the Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) and Commercial Taxes Department has notified that the last date for filing the GSTR-3B return is 20^th August.

CBEC also said that the taxpayers who are yet to complete the enrolment procedure on the common portal are required to complete it as soon as possible in order to be able to avail various benefits under the GST.

The Department clarified that It is mandatory to file enrolment application to be able to file the GSTR-3B return form.

Informing about the enrolment procedure, CBEC informed that the taxpayers can enrol by visiting the official GST web portal. Also in case the taxpayer wants to cancel the registration, it can be done by clicking on the cancellation request tab under the main dashboard.

The Goods and Services Tax was rolled out on July 1, marking it as one of the biggest tax reform in the country since independence. (KNN/ DA)
