31 out of 89 companies listed with BSE SME traded actively today

Mumbai, July 10 (KNN) Although the market sentiments of investors remained low on the BSE SME platform, the number of companies trading actively increased remarkably to 31 out of 89 today.

The market capitalization of BSE SME declined to Rs 7,192.59 crore, down by 0.21 per cent. However, out of the 31 companies that traded today, there were 12 advances, 14 declines and 5 companies that traded flat.
 
The number of companies listed with the bourse, this week, increased to 95, of which 6 have moved to the main board.
Meanwhile, BSE expects 40 initial public offers (IPOs) on its main platform and around 100 on the SME platform this fiscal, indicating a strong revival of the primary markets.
 
In the 2014-15 fiscal, the premier exchange saw six IPOs on its main board and 35 on its SME platform. But an overall fund raised was a paltry Rs 1,200 crore. It is expected to rise more than 10-fold to Rs 15,000 crore in the current fiscal. (KNN Bureau)
