61 firms on BSE SME; Tarini latest to join

Mumbai, Jun 26 (KNN)  Tarini International Limited, consultancy for hydo power generation and transmission today became the latest entrant to the BSE SME platform, taking the number of the listed companies on it to 61.  The market cap of the firms listed on the BSE SME has already crossed Rs 7500 crore.

Delhi based Tarini International Limited is an integrated player providing turn-key services under one umbrella from designing, construction, generation, transmission and distribution of hydo power.  Its services include preparing feasibility studies, detailed project reports, techno economic feasibility reports, financial syndication, etc.

On June-19, Premier Chennai Properties Limited was listed on the bourse.  The real estate development company focuses on residential and other projects, in and around Chennai.  While its focus is on residential projects, covering key segments of the real estate markets, which target the upper end of the respective income or market segment, the firm aims to acquire and develop land that has locational advantages and is reasonably priced.

BSE which now has 61 companies listed on its SME dedicated platform has crossed the mark of USD 1 million recently within 2 years of its commencement, while several others are waiting to get listed.

BSE commenced the SME platform on March 2012 and in over two- year period, BSE has achieved more than 90 per cent market share helping Indian SMEs create a market capitalisation of more than USD 1 billion.  Average IPO size on BSE SME is close to Rs 9 crore per issue. 

BSE SME Platform offers an entrepreneur an investor friendly environment, which enables the listing of SMEs from the unorganized sector scattered throughout India, into a regulated and organized sector.  (KNN/ES)
