New Delhi, Mar 14 (KNN)  The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) today extended the time for payment of advance tax till March-18.  Earlier the advance tax had to be paid by March-15, 2014.
 
All those individuals, firms or organisations whose net tax liability is above Rs 10,000 a year are required to pay advance tax.
 
“To facilitate payment of the final instalment of advance tax, the CBDT has issued an order to extend the time limit to make such payment….
 
“Tax payers therefore can now pay this advance tax instalment by March-18 without entailing any consequential interest for deferment,” CBDT spokesperson said in a statement.  (KNN/PC)
