Bank of India settles NPAs of 500 MSME & retail borrowers in North East India

New Delhi, Feb 24 (KNN) The Bank of India has settled more than 500 NPA borrowers worth around Rs 3 crore of agricultural, MSME, retail and personal loans in North East India.

This was processed through the branch adalat, a pan India campaign organised by Bank of India from 31st January to 5th February, 2022 to provide relief to borrowers affected by the pandemic, especially small borrowers whose loans are below Rs 25 lakh.

It has total 80 branches under BOI Guwahati zone covering the seven states of the north-eastern states and outstanding have benefited from the campaign.

Due to the optimistic response, the campaign will re-launch the campaign from 28th February to 5th March 2022 to enable borrowers who could not avail the benefits.

It will be a countrywide campaign and until now around 6,84,000 NPA borrowers were eligible to avail benefit under this campaign and the bank had settled the NPAs amounting to Rs 407 crore during the campaign. (KNN Bureau)
