Bharatiya Mahila Bank offers easier loan application process for women entrepreneurs

New Delhi, Jun 23 (KNN)  Bharatiya Mahila Bank Ltd (BMB) and Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Business Women Wing) have signed an MoU that will facilitate a simplified application process for loans of less than Rs five lakhs by its members.
 
The move will “promote the cause of women entrepreneurs and address their financing needs in terms of technology upgradation, marketing, diversification and joint ventures etc by utilizing the services of each other,” said an official release today.
 
The MoU was signed in Ahmedabad by Chairman and Managing Director, Bharatiya Mahila Bank Ltd, Usha Ananthasubramanian, and Chairperson, GCCI-BWW, Veena Parikh.
 
As per the MoU, BMB and the Business Women Wing of GCCI-BWW would jointly conduct training workshops for GCCI-BWW members on the procedure for availing financial assistance.
 
Commenting on the initiative, Ananthasubramanian said that Bharatiya Mahila Bank would help in empowering the women in Gujarat, through the bank’s various banking products and services which are designed to unleash the hidden potential of women so as to enable them to contribute to the growth of the nation.
 
On the other hand, Parikh said that Gujarat already has a significant number of women entrepreneurs and the MoU with Bharatiya Mahila Bank would help in encouraging more women to become entrepreneurs.  (KNN/ES)
