BSE slumps over 400 points but SME Exchange trades 0.02% higher

Mumbai, Aug 21 (KNN) Unlike the main board which was down over 400 points after the weakening rupee which hit a two-year low, the SME exchange of BSE was trading 0.02 per cent higher in the morning trade.

However, there were more number of losers than gainers in the morning trade.

Only 11 out of 106 companies were trading actively at 11 am. There were 3 advances and 6 declines, whereas 2 companies traded flat.

The market capitalization was Rs 7,713.36 crore. The companies that traded in red were ENCASH; LOOKS; MRSS and more.

Meanwhile, the gainers in the early trade were - POWERHOUSE; SUYOG; and ALSL. (KNN Bureau)
