BSE SME ends in red today; Sensex, Nifty at record high

Mumbai, Oct 30 (KNN) Unlike the benchmark BSE Sensex and the National Stock Exchange index Nifty which were soaring high today, BSE SME traded in red today, down by 0.11 per cent.

The market capitalization of BSE SME settled at Rs 7,860.85 crore in trading today. Out of 77 small and medium companies listed with the bourse, only 28 companies actively traded today of which there were 14 advances, 8 declines while 6 remained unchanged.

Meanwhile, the benchmark BSE Sensex hit a record-high by surging 260.68 points to 27,358.85 during mid-session trade. Its previous record was of 27,354.99 on September 8.

The National Stock Exchange index Nifty also jumped by 76.75 points, or 0.94 per cent, to trade at 8,167.20. It was just 13 points behind its all-time high of 8,180.20 reached on September 8. (KNN/SD)
