BSE SME gets its 139th company; Gujarat based Shanti Edu Initiatives gets listed

Mumbai, June 14 (KNN) The total number of companies listed with the SME exchange of BSE has reached 139 today.

Equity shares of Gujarat based Shanti Educational Initiatives Limited (SEIL) got listed with BSE SME today.

“…effective from Tuesday, June 14, 2016, the Equity Shares of Shanti Educational Initiatives Limited shall be listed and admitted to dealings on the SME Platform of Exchange in the list of ‘M’ Group of Securities,” BSE SME said in a notification.

According to a report, Santi Educational Initiatives' SME IPO became the largest SME IPO on the BSE, raising Rs 40 crore.

As per norms, the companies have to be mandatorily listed and traded on the SME platform for a minimum period of two years and only after that they can migrate on to the main board, as per the guidelines specified by market regulator SEBI. (KNN Bureau)
