BSE SME gets its 146th company; more SMEs from Rajasthan set to get listed

Mumbai, Aug 3 (KNN) The number of companies listed with the BSE SME exchange is in the kissing range of 150. The exchange got its 146th company listed today.

Equity Shares of Mumbai based Prabhat Telecoms (India) Limited got listed with the SME exchange of Bombay Stock Exchange today.

Incorporated in 2007, Prabhat Telecoms (India) Ltd is a part of Prabhat group of companies engaged in design, assemble, and customize import and distribution of mobile handsets, wireless dongles/data-cards, data products and mobile/telecom accessories. Company sell their mobile handsets under the brand name 'V3' Mobiles and internet data cards & smart phones/tablets, fixed wireless terminal and high end telecom devices under brand name 'Xccess'. They also sell accessories like screen guard, Memory card etc under the brand name 'Platinum'.

BSE India is expecting to bring 10 more companies from Rajasthan on its SME platform by the end of current financial year, Ajay Thakur, SME head of Bombay Stock Exchange recently said at an event.

Thakur said by the end of this fiscal year another 50 companies will be on the SME board out of which 10 are expected to be from Rajasthan.

BSE launched the SME platform in December 2012 with a base of 100 points. So far, 146 companies have got listed with the exchange out of which 18 have migrated to the main board. (KNN Bureau)
