BSE SME now has 165 companies listed; 200 draft prospectus received so far

Mumbai, Mar 3 (KNN) Equity shares of Hyderabad based Tanvi Foods (India) Limited got listed with the BSE SME platform today taking the total number of listed companies to 165.

In a notification, BSE SME said, “Trading Members of the Exchange are hereby informed that effective from Thursday, March 2, 2017 the Equity Shares of Tanvi Foods (India) Limited shall be listed and admitted to dealings on the SME Platform of Exchange in the list of ‘M’ Group of Securities.”

Tanvi Foods India Ltd is in involved in trading, distribution, and processing of Food and Beverages primarily operating in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka with brand of Frozen Kings.

Now the total number of companies listed with the exchange has reached 165 out of which 24 have migrated to main board and 2 companies have got suspended.

The total amount of money raised so far from trading on the bourse is Rs 1,288.39 crore and the market capitalization has reached Rs 17,928.71 crore.

As many as 200 firms have filed draft papers to raise funds through IPOs since the launch of the segment, nearly five years ago.

BSE had launched its SME platform in March 2012 and since then, several companies have got listed on them and some have even shifted to the main board.

The platform provides opportunity to SME entrepreneurs to raise equity capital for growth and expansion. It also provides immense opportunity for investors to identify and invest in good SMEs at an early stage. (KNN Bureau)
