Mumbai, July 1 (KNN) It seems the sentiments of the investors continue to remain low, as the BSE SME opened with a fall of 3.21 per cent in early trade today with merely 10 out of 88 companies actively trading on the platform.

Although the core sector data showed a growth of 4.4% in May, the BSE SME bourse showed a fall of 32.71 points. However, unlike earlier this week, today the number of advances is more than the number of declines.

With 6 advances, 2 declines and 2 companies trading flat, the market capitalization was Rs 7,388.04 crore at 11.35 am.

Meanwhile, the market capitalization of 21 companies listed on the ITP platform was Rs 5,811.80 crore.

In what can be seen as a boom time for the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the country, the BSE SME Exchange looks to list about 100 SMEs during this fiscal.

So far, about 120 draft red herring prospectus (DRHPs) has been filed, out of which 94 companies got listed. Out of the 94 companies listed, 6 companies have migrated to the main board. (KNN Bureau)
