BSE SME touches kissing range of Rs 6,000 crore market cap

Mumbai, Apr 1 (KNN)  Even as the RBI Governor, Raghuram Rajan kept the rate unchanged while announcing the first bi-monthly monetary policy, the small companies listed on the BSE SME platform today reached the market capitalization in the kissing range of Rs 6,000 crore.

The combined market capitalization of the 54 companies listed on the platform today reached Rs 5,932.85 crore, with not even one third of the companies trading today.
In all there were only 13 companies which traded today with 9 gainers like HPC Biosciences, Channel nine;  3 declines and one with equal force.

As many as eight companies have submitted their documents with the market regulator SEBI for raising the capital on the BSE SME and getting listed there. These include Dhanuka Commercial Limited, Sirohia and Sons Limited and Starlit Power Systems Limited. 

Shri Krishna Prasadam Limited, a multidisciplinary business venture was the 54th company to get listed on to the platform. The company is into different businesses such as – real estate; trading of agricultural products; and security trading.

BSE SME Platform offers an entrepreneur an investor friendly environment, which enables the listing of SMEs from the unorganized sector scattered throughout India, into a regulated and organized sector.
 
Over the last few weeks, the BSE SME Exchange, the Bombay Stock Exchange's platform for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), has been witnessing a lot more SMEs listing on the platform.  (KNN/SD)
