Budget 2019: Budget will indeed be an Interim budget and not a vote-on-account: PM

New Delhi, Jan 31 (KNN) Prime Minister Narendra Modi confirmed that the budget will indeed be an Interim budget and not a vote-on-account.
He said this in his address at the Parliament ahead of the budget session.
Modi said that 'Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas' will be the agenda. He also mentioned, "We are looking forward to discussing every issue."
“The MPs should hold a meaningful debate in this session of the Parliament. We are eager to hold a debate on all important issues,” Modi added.
Modi has also urged all lawmakers to utilize this budget session of Parliament for having constructive debates.
Government will present its last budget on Friday before the general election.
Since finance minister Arun Jaitley is in the US for medical reasons, Railway and Coal Minister Piyush Goyal is given additional charge of the Finance Ministry.
Goyal will present the Budget in the Parliament as Interim Finance Minister.
The government is expected to dole out income tax benefits, home loan interest benefits before election.
