Canara Bank opens two SME branches in Delhi

New Delhi, May 6 (KNN)   To cater to the needs of micro, small and medium industries, Canara Bank has opened two small and medium enterprise (SME) Sulab branches here in Naraina Vihar and Mangolpuri.   

Chairman and Managing Director, Canara Bank R K Dubey, inaugurated the branches in the presence of Executive director of the bank, V S Krishna Kumar, and General Manager, Delhi circle T Sreekanthan. 

Canara Bank is also planning to add 1300 new branches during the next two years to expand its presence.

"We are targeting to achieve total business of Rs 7 lakh crore in 2013-14.  But this target is yet to be approved by the board," Dubey said.

"Bank's main focus will remain on agriculture, retail and MSME for lending," he added according to a media report. (KNN)
