New Delhi, Mar 29, (KNN) Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) offices were opened yesterday and will be working today and on Sunday also to facilitate tax, excise and custom duty payments.
 
“Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has also decided that all designated branches of agency banks and RBI offices conducting government business will keep their counters open for last three days of the month. All necessary facilities and infrastructure for e- payment shall be open on these days,” said an official statement.

Moreover the proposed nationwide strike by the Associations of Superintendents and Inspectors of Central Excise on these days has been withdrawn.

“Indian Revenue Services (Customs & Central Excise) probationers have been deployed to ensure trade faces no problem on clearance,” it said. (KNN)
