Companies listed on BSE SME now 75; two new firms get listed

Mumbai, Oct 21 (KNN)  With the listing of Powerhouse Fitness and Realty Limited and Vibrant Global Capital Limited, the number of firms listed on the BSE SME platform is now 75.

Last month, BSE Managing Director and CEO Ashish Kumar Chauhan at a meeting said he was hopeful of listing a total of 100 companies in the next two months or by December, taking into account the good response by small and medium enterprises on the BSE SME exchange during the last two years.

He informed that many good companies from sectors such as manufacturing, metals, information technology and others were seeking to be listed on the BSE’s SME platform.

Headquartered here with presence in Surat and Jaipur, Powerhouse Fitness and Realty Limited is engaged in the business of fitness and slimming.   It operates 12 fitness centres in Mumbai and three franchisees in Santacruz (Mumbai), Surat and Jaipur.   Its gyms are equipped with state of the art facilities and provide services including steam, aerobics and diet counselling amongst others to clients.

Mumbai based Vibrant Global Capital Limited is a non-deposit accepting NBFC registered with The Reserve Bank of India.  It is a finance company that invests and trades in listed / unlisted securities and financial products; provides long term loans and advances; and advances short term loans.

BSE commenced the SME platform on March 2012 and in over two- year period, BSE has achieved more than 90 per cent market share helping Indian SMEs create a market capitalisation of more than USD 1 billion.  Average IPO size on BSE SME is close to Rs 9 crore per issue. 

BSE SME Platform offers an entrepreneur an investor friendly environment, which enables the listing of SMEs from the unorganized sector scattered throughout India, into a regulated and organized sector.  (KNN/ES)
