Agra, May 1, (KNN) Exporters from Uttar Pradesh will be given an expert presentation here on May 11, to ensure compliance for their shipments so that they do not face barriers for their products in overseas markets.

“There is a need to understand emerging compliance issues pertaining to quality label, and certification, labour and social compliance on child labour, health safety, technology compliances like standardization and environmental compliances,” said Federation of Indian Export Organisations in a statement.

The presentation will also focus on non-tariff measures impacting the exports and will suggest ways to reduce possibility of rejections at the foreign customs.

“With consumers demanding more and more information on the products they buy many countries put in place more non-tariff measures which impact our exports,” it said.

Exporters are facing increasing number of non-tariff barriers in several countries particularly in Europe, the USA, Japan and China.

The event is being jointly organised by FIEO and Export Promotion Bureau, Government of
Uttar Pradesh. (KNN)
