New Delhi, Apr 24 (KNN) Two city based banks, Corporation Bank and Karnataka Bank were recently awarded by the Chamber of Indian Micro Small and Medium Enterprise (CIMSME).

Karnataka Bank won the award under the CSR initiatives and Business responsibility award as a runner up under the emerging category.

Corporation bank scooped two awards, one for eco-technology savvy bank award – winner under the mid-sized category. They won the other award as the best MSME bank award – runner up under the mid-sized category.

Jai Kumar Garg, MD and CEO of Corporation bank and Raghurama, General Manager of Karnataka Bank received the awards from Arjun Ram Meghwal, Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs.

They were given the awards at ceremony held in New Delhi recently.   The event was presided over by Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs (i/c) and Parliamentary Affairs. (KNN/ DA)
