DPIIT Reviews Infrastructure Projects Worth Rs 36,296 Crore In Gujarat And Rajasthan
New Delhi, Jul 8 (KNN) The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) conducted a comprehensive review of 22 issues impacting 18 infrastructure projects valued at Rs 36,296 crore across Gujarat and Rajasthan, according to an official statement released Monday.
The review meeting was presided over by DPIIT Secretary Amardeep Bhatia and included participation from senior officials representing central ministries, state governments, and project proponents.
The commerce and industry ministry confirmed that discussions centred on 22 issues related to 18 critical projects with a collective valuation exceeding Rs 36,296 crore.
A significant component of the reviewed projects included the Transmission System Strengthening Scheme, designed to facilitate power evacuation from solar energy zones in Rajasthan and Gujarat.
This initiative represents an investment of Rs 14,147 crore and focuses on enabling seamless integration of renewable energy into the national grid through the development of high-capacity transmission infrastructure, including substations and transmission lines.
The meeting also examined Reliance Jio's 5G/4G network expansion project, which has been designated as a project of national importance.
This telecommunications infrastructure initiative forms part of the broader portfolio of critical projects under review by the department.
