E-Forms under MCA -21 to be accepted from April 28

New Delhi, April 12 (KNN) Ministry of Corporate Affairs has decided to extend the date of acceptance of E-forms under MCA-21 filing from April 13 t0 April 28, 2014, as there could be a single phase roll-out instead of staggered roll out for the convenience of all corporates registered under the companies Act.

In the backdrop of amendments in the Companies Act, the government had earlier decided to temporarily suspend the services of e-filing from April 1-13, 2014, to ensure smooth transition of the revised norms from six decade old Act to the new Act.
 
The Ministry had also advised that the professionals, companies and other stake-holders needing to use these services should take into account this temporary suspension.
“After a careful review it has been decided that there could be a single phase roll-out instead of the earlier notified staggered roll-out for the convenience of all concerned,” Ministry of Corporate Affairs today said.
 
“Accordingly, all E-Forms will be available for upload with effect from April 28, 2014,” it added.
 
Earlier last month, the government had notified most of the rules Company’s Act 2013 which was passed by parliament last year and provides for measures to protect interest of investors.

As many as 183 more sections of the new Act have become operational from April-1 besides 100 sections had earlier been notified. Several important measures are parts of the new Act and these include mandatory spending on the corporate social responsibilities by the profit making companies beyond a specific threshold. (KNN/SD)
