ESIC asks employers to furnish essential details

New Delhi, Sept 10 (KNN)  Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has asked employers to urgently furnish essential contact details in order to provide better services to its stakeholders.
 
“All employers registered with ESIC, SRO Rohini, Delhi are hereby informed that in order to provide better services to its stakeholders, the following information is urgently required by ESIC: latest email ID of the employers, latest mobile number of the employers and pin code of area where the unit is located,” an ESIC press notification said.
 
Further, employers have been asked to update their records online by September-11.
 
Employees’ State Insurance Scheme of India is a multidimensional social security system tailored to provide socio-economic protection to the worker population and their dependants covered under the scheme.
 
Besides full medical care for self and dependants that is admissible from day one of insurable employment, the insured persons are also entitled to a variety of cash benefits in times of physical distress due to sickness, temporary or permanent disablement etc. resulting in loss of earning capacity, and the confinement in respect of insured women.
 
In addition, dependants of insured persons who die in industrial accidents or because of employment injury or occupational hazard are entitled to a monthly pension called the dependants benefit.  (KNN/ES)
