EXIM Bank to engage more with local MSMEs to boost export

Bhubaneswar, July 27 (KNN) The Export Import bank of India (EXIM) will engage more with the local micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the State to help them boost export, executive director, EXIM bank, N Shankar recently said.
 
“It will engage more with local MSMEs guiding them to manufacture products more in demand abroad and ensure compliance to international quality and turnaround time norms. Special purpose vehicles for clusters should be set up for the purpose of enhancing and promoting exports,” Shankar said at a seminar organised by World Trade Centre here on Friday, according to a media report.
 
EXIM Bank ED also emphasised on the role played by the bank in promotion of exports and how enhancing exports is being tried to be achieved through various schemes like ‘Make in India’.
 
Secretary, MSME Department, Panchanan Dash said the State Government has initiated several steps to push exports. (KNN Bureau)
