Fin Min Jaitley chairs eighteenth meeting of Financial Stability and Development Council

New Delhi, Dec 30 (KNN) The eighteenth Meeting of the Financial Stability and Development Council (FSDC) was held recently in the national capital with the Union Minister of Finance, Arun Jaitley chairing the meeting.

The meeting is a part of the series of ongoing consultation meetings before the upcoming budget 2018-19. Ministry of Finance in a press statement informed about the meeting.

The participating officials presented their proposals for the upcoming Union Budget 2018-19 to the finance minister.

Concerned Ministries/Departments were advised by the Council to examine respective proposals in detail for appropriate further decision, the release from the Ministry informed.

Key officials present during the meeting included Dr. Urjit R. Patel, Governor, RBI; Dr. Hasmukh Adhia, Finance Secretary and Secretary, Department of Revenue, Subhash Chandra Garg, Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs and Rajiv Kumar, Secretary, Department of Financial Services.

Also Injeti Srinivas, Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), Dr. Arvind Subramanian, Chief Economic Adviser, Ajay Tyagi, Chairman, SEBI, T.S. Vijayan, Chairman, IRDAI, Hemant G Contractor, Chairman, PFRDA, Dr. M. S. Sahoo, Chairman, IBBI, and other senior officers of the Government of India and financial sector regulators were a part of the meeting. (With PIB Inputs) (KNN/DA)
