New Delhi, Feb 5 (KNN) Proposing the Union Budget 2018-19 in the parliament earlier last week, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley announced that the government is considering to extend the fixed term contract hiring beyond apparels to all the sectors.

This move would allow employers to hire workers on specific projects on contractual basis for a definite term.

Responding to the proposal, RSS affiliated Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh has registered their objection.

Also the  Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) has termed the budget as disappointing for failing to address the corporate ‘tax theft’ or take efforts to recover unpaid debts from the corporate sector. It flags the failure of the government to ensure Rs. 18,000 as a floor minimum wage.

Commenting on similar lines New Trade Union Initiative (NTUI) in their assessment of the budget raised that the document does no good neither for agricultural nor industrial workers.
