New Delhi, Sept 8 (KNN) Finance Secretary Ratan P Watal, on Monday,  held a review meeting with the Secretaries and Chief Economic Adviser of the Ministry of Finance to takes stock of work in progress and pending policy issues along with issues relating to Budgetary Exercise for the General Budget 2016-17.
 
Watal held coordination cum review meeting with the Secretaries and Chief Economic Adviser of the Ministry of Finance here.
 
He called for expeditious action in the pending matters. This was the First Meeting taken by Watal after becoming the Finance Secretary at the beginning of this month. 

The meeting also discussed issues relating to better coordination among all the Departments of the Ministry especially in view of budgetary exercise which has already started.
 
“Such Meetings will be now held on regular basis and to begin with, on weekly basis,” Finance Ministry said.
 
The meeting was attended among others by Shaktikanta Das, Secretary (DEA), Hasmukh Adhia, Revenue Secretary, Anjuly Chib Duggal, Secretary (DFS), Aradhana Johri, Secretary (Disinvestment) and Arvind Subramanian, Chief Economic Adviser (CEA). (KNN Bureau)
