Four cos get listed with BSE SME in Feb; 1 migrates to BSE

Mumbai, Feb 8 (KNN) As many as four companies got listed with the SME exchange of BSE this month while one company migrated to the main board BSE. Now the total number of listed firms has gone up to 223.

The market capitalization of companies listed with the bourse has reached Rs 22,139.32 crore while the total amount of money raised so far is Rs 1,833.96 crore.

The companies that got listed this month are – Ahmedabad, Gujarat based Ashoka Metcast Limited; Surat, Gujarat based Gautam Gems Limited; Rajkot, Gujarat based Gujarat Hy-spin Limited; and Mumbai based Medico Remedies Limited.

Meanwhile, the equity shares of Bhavnagar, Gujarat based Jiya Ec-Products Limited migrated from the SME platform to the main board.

In an interview to livemint, BSE Chairman S Ravi has said, “We are working on deepening the SME market. SMEs are also the focus of this government and banks too are interested in this space, so the growth is expected. With banks showing interest and confidence, institution or institutional participation will follow.”

It is also the track record of listed SME companies that will promote institutional participation. We are targeting more SMEs to list as the public perception is also changing, he added. (KNN Bureau)
