New Delhi, July 8 (KNN) Aiming at easing the transition from the older tax regime into the new Goods and Services Tax (GST), the government recently launched a mobile application named ‘GST rate finder’.

The mobile application has been developed by the Central board of Excise and Custom (CBEC). It will provide with information on the tax rates that are to imposed on the different goods and services under the GST.

CBEC chairperson during the launch event said that the application will help public, consumers, customers, traders and other stakeholders to look up for rates. It is an instrumental tool in the GST era.

The application is designed in a way that once it’s downloaded, It can work in an offline mode as well.

Finance Ministry informed that the application is currently available for android users. Also a version for Apple users is underway and will be launched soon. (KNN/ DA)
