Govt aware of the concerns of small scale industry, working on solutions : MoS DoNER

New Delhi, Oct 6 (KNN) Asserting the commitment of the government towards the small scale industries, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said that the centre is determined towards strengthening the small scale Industries in the country.

Singh made these remarks during a MUDRA Promotion Campaign yesterday in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.

Commenting on the initiatives and decisions of the government, Singh emphasized that reforms including GST and demonetisation are to bear fruit in the long run.

With regard to the economy and framework for Jammu and Kashmir , the Minister said that the government is well aware of the obstacles hindering the growth and is working towards finding solutions.

Earlier different industry association have repeatedly appealed to both the Centre as well as State governments demanding implementation of the announced incentive package for Jammu and Kashmir under the Goods and Services Tax (GST).

Industry bodies complained that with the absence of the incentive package, the industry is badly suffering and many units are on the verge of closure. (KNN/AG)
