New Delhi, Oct 18 (KNN)  Harbhajan Singh,  Joint Secretary in the  Department of Heavy Industry has been appointed  as the Director General of the  National Productivity Council.

Singh, senior officer of the Indian Administrative Service, will head the NPC which is under the administrative control of the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Industry. He will draw a pay of Additional Secretary, according to an official release.

His appointment was cleared by the Cabinet Committee of Appointment. KNN PC.
