Inflation of manufactured products from the MSME sector remains unchanged in Oct

New Delhi, Nov 16 (KNN) The wholesale price index (WPI) of the manufactured products group, which mainly consists of the items produced by the MSME sector, remained unchanged in October.
However, the Wholesale Price Index for ‘All Commodities’ (Base: 2004-05=100) for the month of October, 2015 rose by 0.1 percent to 176.7 (provisional) from 176.6 (provisional) for the previous month.
The annual rate of inflation, based on monthly WPI, stood at -3.81% (provisional) for the month of October, 2015 (over October, 2014) as compared to -4.54% (provisional) for the previous month and 1.66% during the corresponding month of the previous year.
The inflation for the Primary Articles group remained unchanged at its previous month level 252.4 (provisional).
Meanwhile, the inflation of the manufactured products which declined includes – Textiles; Leather & Leather Products; Rubber & Plastic Products; Basic Metals, Alloys & Metal Products; Transport, Equipment & Parts. Whereas, the products which showed increase in the index includes - Non-Metallic Mineral Products; Paper & Paper Products; and Wood & Wood Products. (KNN Bureau)
