Input output norm for export of namkeen, mixture & savouries changed

New Delhi, Sept 18 (KNN) Government has changed the Standard Input Output Norms (SION) for products which are of interest to the MSME sector, like namkeen, mixture and savouries.

“The SION for export product Namkeens/ Mixtures/ Savouries has been notified,” Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) said in a notification.

SION are standard norms which define the amount of input/inputs required to manufacture unit of output for export purpose.

Input output norms are applicable for products such as – electronics, food products, engineering goods, handicraft, plastic and leather products etc.

Many small and medium units are into manufacturing and exporting namkeen, mixture and savouries. Consumption of sweets, fried snacks, bakery products pick up from September to December season.  Some of the namkeen products which have high demand in domestic as well as global market are - Aloo Bhujia, Moong Dal and Spicy Mix etc.

At present, the Indian branded salted snacks market is estimated to be worth Rs 10,000 crore (USD1.68 billion), and is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 15-18 per cent over the next few years, according to a report. (KNN/SD)

    Respected sir I'm interested to export my namkeens products of 200gm packing in pouch with Brand, and fssai registration ie mix Namkeens, Chudva, bhujia, potato chips kindly send me details
