International convention on family business

New Delhi, Mar 11 (KNN)  Ensuring improved performance in family business, an international convention will be held here on the subject to help participants learn from each other about family governance and ideas for succession planning for business owning families. 

Organised by CII-FBN India (Confederation of Indian Industry and Family business network), the 16th International Convention on Family Business will be held on March 18 and 19 in the capital city.

The two-day programme will focus on “Business Performance in a Family Business”.

Over the years, the convention which is an exclusive platform for the owners of family run business and their family members has been successful in attracting the most prominent family business owners from all parts of the country.

Apart from the various individual case studies by different families and panel discussions, the first day programme would focus on the key drivers for business performance such as strategy, adaptability and building high performance teams.

The second day will feature a discussion programme with FBN Sweden Executive Director Annelie Karlsson. It will cover topics such as key drivers for business performance, how to manage succession, how to build strong and high performing teams, how to manage the emotions and conflicts that can occur and how to put together the best governance structures and processes to manage these relations.
