New Delhi, June 2 (KNN) Taking a major step forward in checking tax evasion under goods and service tax (GST), intra-state e-way bill for moving goods within state will become mandatory from tomorrow i.e. June 3, 2018 for all the states.

According to notification released by Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC),  “e-way bill for moving goods within a state will become mandatory from June 3, with the country-wide roll out of the mechanism.”

So far, all the states and union territories have made e-way bill mandatory for intra-state movement of goods except Tamil Nadu and West Bengal that would implement the same on June 2 and June3, respectively.
