IT-Dept seeks suggestions from tax payers to revive economy

Agra, Apr 22 (KNN) Income Tax Department has made an appeal to the tax payers to share ideas as what can be done to revive the economy which suffered from lockdown following COVID-19 outbreak pandemic.

''In times of crisis, the IT departments stands in full solidarity with the taxpayers who are the wealth creator and backbone of the nation. The department is in the process of carrying out analysis of Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) for revival of the economy,'' wrote Jayant Mishra to Agra's Principal Commissioner of Income tax. 

''We urge taxpayers and trade associations to share their inputs for SWOT analysis,’’ the letter read further.

Besides identifying bottlenecks for various sectors, the government is also asking for a wish list from the industry at a time when the global economy is slipping into a recession.
