New Delhi, Feb 29 (KNN) Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley is presenting NDA Government's second full-fledged budget today where he said despite global slowdown India has maintained its level in terms of GDP.

Indian economy held its ground and confidence has been build  in the world, he said.

"The conditions were infavourable but we converted difficulties into achievements," said the union Finance minister.

In its first two years in power, the Modi government splurged on roads and railways at the expense of welfare programmes in the hope of creating economic stimulus. The PM's gamble was that infrastructure investment would eventually generate dividends for the poor and the rural community. (KNN Bureau)
