Jammu MSMEs apprise Industries & Commerce Director of various initiative adopted by them amid COVID-19 outbreak

Jammu, Mar 21 (KNN) Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Jammu met Anoo Malhotra, Director, Industries and Commerce, Jammu and apprised her about the precautions big adopted by MSMEs in the state amid COVID-19 outbreak.

A Delegation of Federation of Industries, Jammu (FOIJ) on Friday led by Lalit Mahajan, Co-Chairman FOIJ met the Director. During the meeting, Mahajan briefed her that with the intervention of Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) an isolation ward has been setup in ESI Hospital Bari Brahmana to provide necessary Healthcare to any suspected Industrial Worker, Removal of all eatable points at Roadside in the Industrial Complexes, Thermal Screening adopted by Unit Holders for their workers as well as visiting persons, Truck Drivers etc.

''Daily visitor information is being monitored by all the industrial units and same is shared with General Manger, DIC, Jammu. Further, all the unit holders are taking precautionary measures in their units with the provision of Sanitizer, Face Masks, Soaps etc; educating the Industrial Workers to take necessary protection from spreading of such virus,'' he added.

Director gave the patient hearing about the measures adopted by Industries to stop Corona Virus from spreading in the Industrial Areas.

The General Manager, DIC’s Jammu, Samba, Kathua and Udhampur were also present in the meeting and informed the Director Industries in respect to implementation of Advisories in the respective Industrial Estates.
