Last dates for filing GST returns in flood-hit Kerala, Mahe and Kodagu extended

New Delhi, Aug 22 (KNN) The last dates for filing Goods & Services Tax (GST) returns has been extended for taxpayers in flood hit Kerala, Mahe (Puducherry) and Kodagu (Karnataka).

In a release, the Ministry of Finance said, “In view of the disruption caused due to severe floods in Kerala, Mahe (Puducherry) and Kodagu (Karnataka), the Competent Authority has extended the due dates for filing of the following GST returns by taxpayers registered in these areas.”

The relevant notification, the Finance Ministry said, will be issued  shorty in this regard.

For all tax payers in these places, the FORM GSTR-3B for the month of July, 2018 and August, 2018 has been extended till October 5, 2018.

For Taxpayers having turnover upto Rs. 1.5 crore the date for filing FORM GSTR-1 for the quarter July to September, 2018 has been extended till November 15th, 2018.

For taxpayers having turnover above Rs. 1.5 crores, the date for filing FORM GSTR-1 for the month of July, 2018 has been extended till October 5, 2018 while for Taxpayers having turnover above Rs. 1.5 crores, the date for the same has been extended till October 10, 2018. (KNN Bureau)
