Market cap of BSE SME listed cos crosses Rs 8000 cr

Mumbai, Nov 5 (KNN)  Market capitalisation of the companies listed on the BSE SME platform crossed Rs 8000 crore in trading today to settle at Rs 8024.95 crore.

Of the 77 firms listed on the bourse 35 firms were actively traded of which there were 14 gainers and 19 losers while 2 remained unchanged.

Among the top gainers were – Dhabriya Polywood Limited (19.85 per cent), HPC Biosciences Limited (17.77 per cent), Bronze Infra-Tech Limited (9.97 per cent) and Sunstar Realty Development Limited (9.42 per cent).

On the other hand, losers included – Sirohia and Sons Limited (-15.89 per cent), BCB Finance Limited (-9.68 per cent)   Newever Trade Wings Ltd (-6.67 per cent), and Atishay Infotech Limited (-5.81 per cent).

Several other companies are waiting to be listed on the platform such as Karnavati Finance Limited, Raghuvansh Agrofarms Limited, Captain Pipes Limited and OP Chains Limited among others.

BSE commenced the SME platform on March 2012 and in over two- year period, BSE has achieved more than 90 per cent market share helping Indian SMEs create a market capitalisation of more than USD 1 billion.  Average IPO size on BSE SME is close to Rs 9 crore per issue. 

BSE SME Platform offers an entrepreneur an investor friendly environment, which enables the listing of SMEs from the unorganized sector scattered throughout India, into a regulated and organized sector.  (KNN/ES)
