Market cap of firms listed on BSE SME crosses Rs 8,500 crore

As many as 26 companies were actively traded among which, there were 11 gainers and 13 losers while 2 remained unchanged.
Among the gainers were – Channel Nine Entertainment Ltd (20 per cent); Dhanuka Commercial Ltd (19.93 per cent); Sunstar Realty Development Ltd (14.10 per cent); and Looks Health Services Limited (11.88 per cent).
Losers on the other hand included – Dhabriya Polywood Ltd (-10 per cent); Newever Trade Wings Ltd (-9.62 per cent); Atishay Infotech Ltd (-5.47 per cent); and Tarini International Ltd (-3.85 per cent).
There has been a lot more activity on the bourse these days with more companies listing taking the total number to 78.
Several other companies are waiting to be listed on the platform such as Karnavati Finance Limited, Raghuvansh Agrofarms Limited, Captain Pipes Limited and OP Chains Limited among others.
BSE commenced the SME platform on March 2012 and in over two- year period, BSE has achieved more than 90 per cent market share helping Indian SMEs create a market capitalisation of more than USD 1 billion. Average IPO size on BSE SME is close to Rs 9 crore per issue.
BSE SME Platform offers an entrepreneur an investor friendly environment, which enables the listing of SMEs from the unorganized sector scattered throughout India, into a regulated and organized sector. (KNN/ES)
