Monarch Apparels (India) Limited files papers for listing on BSE SME

Mumbai, Aug 29 (KNN)  Mumbai based Monarch Apparels India Limited which is engaged in the textile business has filed its draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) to be listed on the BSE SME platform.

The company’s manufacturing unit at Cotton Green has a total capacity of producing 3 lakhs pieces of apparels per annum.  The product line consists of jeans, cotton trousers, corduroy trousers and cotton shirts.

On offer from the company are a range of premium casuals/ party wear, semi-premium office to semi premium casuals catering to the age group of 20 to 45 years.  The products are priced between Rs 895 and Rs 1895 which effectually attract the population belonging to middle and upper middle class.

The company consistently endeavours to introduce new styles, fits, finishes and fabrics to its product range. Designing, cutting, stitching, ironing, finishing and packaging is carried out at its 3 separate units.

The company procures raw materials in large quantities from major suppliers and upon receiving orders from their MBO’s (Multi Brand Outlets) their process starts by cutting the fabrics, stitching the fabrics, washing the semi-finished products and finally finishing the products under the brand ‘Monarch’ for dispatch.

The BSE SME Exchange, Bombay Stock Exchange's platform for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), is witnessing a lot more SMEs listing on the platform these days. However, active trading takes place in less than half of the companies listed.

Among others firms waiting to be listed on the bourse are Information Security Management Systems company, Atishay Infotech Ltd, Majestic Research Services and Solutions Limited which is engaged in the business of market research; and Ultracab India Limited which manufactures and exports wires and cables.

BSE SME Platform offers entrepreneurs an investor friendly environment, which enables the listing of SMEs from the unorganized sector scattered throughout India, into a regulated and organized sector.  (KNN/ES)
