MoSPI conducting 7th Economic Census, urges entrepreneurs for full cooperation

New Delhi, Dec 19 (KNN) Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) is conducting the 7th Economic Census w.e.f December 13th for which it has requested the concern enterprises to extend their full cooperation.
''Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) is conducting the 7th Economic Census under the collection of Statistics Act 2008 to collect information regarding the various economic activities being undertaken by the enterprises all over the country,'' the Ministry said in a communication.
The ministry further informed that CSC e-Governance services India limited, Ministry of Information Technology and GOI will conduct the field work of the survey through enumerators/supervisors appointed on short term contract basis.
''During this survey, data will be collected through mobile application on door to door basis in respect of enterprises located in Delhi,'' the letter read further.
State Level Coordination Committee will be constituted under the chairmanship of worthy Chief Secretary, GNCT Delhi to monitor the progress of the filed work of 7th EC in Delhi.
''In this connection, i am directed to inform that the filed work of 7th Economic Census will commence in Delhi w.e.f 13th December 2019. It is, therefore, requested that all the registered establishments under Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) different act may be directed to extend their full cooperation to the field staff deputed for collection of data to ensure smooth conduct of survey,'' the letter added.
