MSMEs from Maharashtra, Delhi, Gujarat most listed on BSE platform

New Delhi, Aug 14 (KNN) As many as 21 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from Maharashtra are listed on BSE SME platform raising a capital of Rs 181.93 crore during March 13, 2012 to July 31, 2014.

Delhi has 16 companies with capital of Rs 161.86 crore followed by 10 from Gujarat with Rs 96.22 crore, according to Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Kalraj Mishra.

He said that 68 SME companies have been listed on SME platform of BSE since its launch in 2012 under Prime Minister’s Task Force.

Further, in order to create awareness about the platform, BSE has conducted over 300 seminars covering 100 cities.

“BSE has been conducting seminars along with various industrial associations, SME forums, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Institute of Company Secretaries of India, Securities and Exchange Board of India, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Confederation of Indian Industries, Dun and Bradstreet and Chamber of Commerce to create awareness about the platform,” said Mishra.

BSE is also actively in touch with, entrepreneurs, and various classes of investors including private equities and Angel investors, he added. (KNN/ST)
